The neighboring community to the farm was concerned when we drilled a well and opened it to the public, that the people who pumped from their well would no longer feel obligated to maintain the pump. These pumps and pipes can rust then break and the water will not flow. The community and its citizens who draw water from it collectively support the maintenance of the well and pump.
The community leaders were worried if their well breaks again they would not have the collective support to repair it. Family Voice Ministries assured them that we would assist them and maintain their water well. Many were still skeptical and viewed the church and its presence negatively. When we heard the water pump was broken, we bought the equipment needed and assisted in repairing it.
Can you imagine having to pump water by hand into 5-gallon plastic water cans and haul them home every day? That is what our friends in Uganda typically have to do. Your support made it possible to repair the water pump immediately for them.
Thank you for all your continuing support!
God Bless you,
Mark
