The new Ox team has been in place for a couple of weeks. Brian our new hire gardener is working diligently to get the 6 acres plowed.
This farm is coming along beautifully and only because of our great God. Where there once was nothing we now have a real farm albeit in it's infancy. We knew about the dry season in December - January and it was a concern, would we have enough good grass for the goats to eat. God provided us 6 acres very close to our 17 acres where we can plant 3 acres of tall growing elephant grass that we can shred into goat meal ahead of the drought. We travelled to Kampala the capital of Uganda and looked at new high powered diesel tillers but cost was too great this year and we instead bought two Ox and hired Brian to be the guy to run the team. In addition to the 3 acres of elephant grass we will plant maze , rice and beans for our farm staff to eat.
