Please take a few minutes to view this important Project Amolatar update. The farm is growing, the baby goats are here, and after our elephant grass setback, we need to plan the next phase wisely before more money is spent.
Project Amolatar has come a long way.
When we first began dreaming about a goat farm in Uganda, the goal was not simply to own goats or build structures. The goal was to create a long-term source of food, income, and sustainability for Family Voice Ministries and the children we serve.
By God’s grace and your generous heart, real progress has been made.
We now have two goat pens built, two goat houses constructed, a working water well, and a growing herd. Even more exciting, we now have 11 baby goats born into the project.
Those baby goats are a blessing. They are a sign of life, growth, and multiplication. But they also remind us that growth brings new responsibilities.
Soon we will need segregated housing so the young goats can be managed properly, breeding can be controlled, and the herd can remain healthy as it grows.
At the same time, we have learned a hard lesson from our first attempt at planting elephant grass. Because of weather conditions, that planting did not succeed.
That was disappointing, but it also showed us something important:
We cannot afford to guess our way through the next phase.
Before we clear more trees, plant more crops, build more structures, or expand the herd further, we need a better understanding of the land itself.
That is why our next urgent goal is to raise $1,000 for a professional agricultural drone study of the Amolatar property.
This study would help us assess the placement of the goat pens and houses, determine where future structures should be built, identify where trees could be removed responsibly, and help us understand where elephant grass and other crops could realistically be grown and irrigated from our water well.
This is not just about aerial photos. It is about stewardship.
We want to make wise decisions before more donor funds are spent. We want to build in the right places, plant in the right areas, and prepare the land in a way that gives this farm the best chance to succeed long term.
The $1,000 drone study is our immediate next step, but it is not the finish line. It is the tool that will help us understand the larger next-phase needs ahead — including segregated goat housing, land clearing, crop planning, irrigation layout, fencing adjustments, and future structures.
For that reason, we are asking friends who already planned to make a year-end gift to consider giving early. Your gift now can help us take the first step quickly and also prepare us to respond wisely when the larger needs are identified.
The farm is not finished, but it is alive.
The pens are built.
The goat houses are standing.
The well is working.
The babies are here.
Now we need to plan the next phase correctly.
Many people wait until the end of the year to make charitable gifts. We understand that. But if you already believe in this mission, and if you already intend to give before the end of 2026, we are asking you to prayerfully consider giving sooner.
The needs are not waiting until December.
An early year-end gift can help us fund the drone study, prepare for future goat housing, recover wisely from the elephant grass setback, and continue building a farm that supports children, strengthens the church, and creates a future that lasts.
Project Amolatar is about more than goats.
It is about feeding children.
It is about educating children.
It is about supporting Christian discipleship.
It is about helping Family Voice Ministries become more self-sustaining.
It is about building something that can continue producing hope long after the first gift is given.
Would you consider making your year-end gift early this year?
Our first urgent goal is the $1,000 agricultural drone study, but we already know this study will lead us into larger next-phase needs. Once we understand the land more clearly, we will need to act on what we learn — including future goat housing, land preparation, irrigation planning, crop development, and other farm improvements.
If you already intended to give later this year, your early gift can help us move now instead of waiting until December.
Help us plan wisely. Help us protect the growing herd. Help us prepare the land. Help us build a future that supports children, church, and ministry in Uganda for years to come.
